The Real Me

Ok so I lied….

Okay so I didn’t get to setting this up like I wanted to due to a few changes in my life. Such finding out that my current employer was moving my dept roughly 80 miles north and we had 1 week to decide if we wanted to go or find another position within the company. Mind you that they told us all this a few days before Thanksgiving.

So that definately kinda ruined my plans for the next few months…I had to negotiate with my current (at the time) apt complex to let me break my lease, find a mover, find/secure a new apt and work ass-loads of OT to cover all the money I was shelling out on gas commuting back and forth.

I was able to get out of my lease but the agreement was that they kept my security deposit. But that is better than paying 3 months of rent for a place that you do not live in. However, that was not the end of my troubles. Shortly after myself and a few others were put in a position where there was a possibility that our we would be unemployeed, but that did not happen(For which I was very greatful for)

Through a few conversations with a few colleagues in Jacksonville, I learned that a position was available. Even though this position is for the same one I have now the reason why I am really trying to go for it is a strategic one. This “move” would put me under the same building as those supervisors in higher level positions that I eventually want to obtain and it would allow me to network more effectively.

This is the short version of what has happend since last year….
